(BEIJING, October 27, 2019) –The ‎biennial International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV), a renowned conference in the industry, took place from October 27 to November 2, 2019 in Seoul, South Korea. Megvii Technology Limited, together with academics and industry leaders from across the globe, participated and held active discussions on artificial intelligence and computer vision technology.

Megvii won three first-places in ICCV 2019’s COCO Challenge, namely in Detection, Keypoints, and Panoptic Challenges. Megvii also won two first places in the Wider Challenge 2019, namely Pedestrian Detection and VOS 2019 Video Object Segmentation. In addition, a research paper produced by Megvii was awarded the Best Paper Award, a newly created accolade this year.

This follows Megvii’s success in the 2017 and 2018 COCO Challenges. The COCO Challenge is the highlight of ICCV and the most influential general object detection challenge in the field of artificial intelligence.

Since the beginning of 2017, Megvii has won 27 first places in some of the most prestigious international AI challenges.

Brain++, Megvii’s proprietary deep learning framework, played an essential role in winning these challenges. It functions as a unified underlying architecture providing critical support for Megvii’s algorithm training and model improvement processes. Brain++ enables Megvii to build a semi-automatic algorithm production line that is constantly self-improving and becoming more automatic over time.

Anchored by Brain++, Megvii has developed comprehensive full-stack artificial intelligence solutions across three key industries, namely personal IoT, city IoT and supply chain IoT. In October 2019, Brain++ was recognized as one of the World's Leading Scientific and Technological Achievements at the sixth World Internet Conference in Wuzhen, China, demonstrating Megvii’s leading industry position across algorithm design, algorithm framework, and algorithm platform.
