Beijing, June 19, 2020 – Megvii Technology Limited’s Enterprise Business Group unveiled MegPass, its new generation building access system using facial authentication technology, at a recent online product launch and strategy conference.
With rising digitalization, the solution supports offices, commercial and residential buildings and industrial compounds looking to deploy intelligent solutions to better manage employee access, visitor registration and verification, as well as other people management needs on their premises.
The MegPass system comes in 8-inch, 7-inch and 5-inch tablets
The MegPass system, which comes in 8-inch, 7-inch and 5-inch tablets, is powered by Megvii's advanced algorithms and has the following features:
· Fast authentication speed – it takes only 0.15 seconds to complete authentication
· High recognition accuracy in different lighting environments, such as darkness, back light, moving light and hard light
· Accurate recognition of people wearing accessories that partially cover their faces such as scarves, hats, sunglasses, etc.
· Supports authentication of multiple persons simultaneously
· Facial authentication at a distance of up to 2 meters
The liveness detection function also ensures that individuals attempting to outwit the system by holding images or wearing 3D face models are denied entry.
In addition to facial authentication, the system also supports building entry by swiping an access card, using a QR code or by inputting a passcode. Customers can choose to combine any two of these four methods to further enhance security.
The MegPass pads can be mounted on walls, stands, gates or simply placed on desktops.
