Megvii wins six first places at CVPR 2019

(BEIJING, June 21, 2019) – At the 2019 Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR), a prestigious annual computer vision event held in Long Beach, California,

Megvii secured a total of six first places, outperforming leading industry players at home and abroad, including Facebook, General Dynamics, and Daimler. It participated in three challenges, namely WAD (Workshop on Autonomous Driving), FGVC (Workshop on Fine-Grained Visual Categorization), and NTIRE (New Trends in Image Restoration and Enhancement Workshop).Technologies deployed as part of these challenges spanned fields such as autonomous driving, new retail, smartphones, 3D technology, and machine learning.

 

Brain++, Megvii’s proprietary deep learning framework, played a pivotal role in these challenges. It functions as a unified underlying architecture providing critical support for Megvii’s algorithm training and model improvement processes. Brain++ enables Megvii to build a semi-automatic algorithm production line that is constantly self-improving and becoming more automatic over time.
